PLASTIC
KrownCORP recycles plastic bales and once recycled (cleaned and reduced to a pellet form), it is combined with carbon black to produce masterbatch.
KROWNCORP’s PROCESS
KrownCORP relies on a combination of established and cutting-edge technologies to sustainably recycle OTR tires and produce marketable goods, namely masterbatch, industrial lubricant and Renewable Fuel.
INTAKE
TIRES
Although the process is flexible and designed to handle all types of rubber waste, KrownCORP currently focuses on a particular type of tire recycling: Off-the-road (OTR) tires.
PLASTIC
Knowing the impact that plastic has on our environment today, KrownCORP recovers scrap or plastic waste and reprocesses the material into useful products, hence participating in the global efforts to reduce the plastic waste that enters the Earth’s oceans every year. KrownCORP is also a good example of “Stewardship Manufacturer” as it can recycle 100% of its finished products.
PRIMARY PROCESS
Phase 1
KrownCORP’s overall process currently focuses on recycling a particular type of tire: Off-the-road (OTR) tires. OTR tires are a product of complex engineering that are effectively decomposed into carbon black, steel, syngas and oils.
SECONDARY PROCESS
Phase 2
A second manufacturing process is integrated into the KrownCORP facility: The plant recycles plastic bales. The recycled plastic is then combined with the carbon black from the tires in order to produce masterbatch.
FINAL PRODUCTS
ENERGY
The cogeneration process generates electricity to cover some of the plant’s energy needs.
RENEWABLE FUEL
A renewable fuel is partially produced from the processed oil that can be used to power diesel motors.
MASTERBATCH
KrownCORP’s masterbatch is the “building block” of finished black plastic products and a highly marketable commodity. Masterbatch can be used for a wide range of manufactured plastic components.
STEEL
All recovered steel is sold to steel recyclers.
LUBRICANTS
A portion of the processed oil can be converted into base lubricants.
